The pauses sound a bit weird but if you add contrabass or cello or even piano to fill them in that would be a bit better. Another thing is, during the solos there is no bass line which makes it sound a bit off. As a violinist, I know that it is quite possible to add lower pitched notes at the same time as you’re playing your solo.
